Cebu Hotel and Cebu Hotels - Whats New?
Thursday, March 13th, 2008Let me now write about the fastest growing city in the Philippines, Cebu and its Cebu Hotels, Cebu maps, Cebu beaches and Cebu resorts.
Before I give you the list of good cebu hotels, lets me give you a brief write-up on Cebu City. Like many Philippine cities, CEBU also dubbed as the “Queen City of the South“. As of late Cebu has become something of an urban nightmare. Cebu is now filled with jeepneys that are taking over the inadequate road network but the government of Cebu is now working on this problem and you can expect to see great improvement in the City’s traffic in the near future.
Cebu is filled with history and architecture, but you have to look hard for it among the clutter, the exhaust fumes and the large malls. Good news is that Cebu is not half as bad as Manila. It’s possible to get from one side of the city to the other in less than 
thirty minutes. Cebu also has an excellent international airport and ferry connections. A Cebu Hotel is cheaper than a Manila one and taxi drivers are much more accommodating. The biggest attraction in Cebu City is its annual Sinulog Festival, which culminates on the third Sunday of every January. On Sinulog you should expect a very wild mardi gras street parade and an outdoor concert at Fuente Osmeña. The Sinulog Festival is celebrated in honour of Cebu’s patron Saint the Sr. Santo Niño.
